Can Automist Cover an Entire House?

Yes, Automist can provide whole-house fire protection in compliance with NFPA 750, which governs water mist fire suppression systems for one- and two-family dwellings. It is designed to be a room-based solution, meaning multiple spray heads can be strategically installed throughout the home to ensure full coverage.

Automist consists of several core components that work together to provide intelligent, targeted fire suppression:

  • Smoke Sensor – A ceiling-mounted sensor detects smoke, acting as the system’s initial trigger.
  • Thermal Imaging Spray Heads – Wall-mounted nozzles equipped with thermal imaging sensors scan the room to identify fire location and direct the mist accordingly.
  • Control Unit – The system’s AI-powered controller processes fire detection data and activates the correct spray head.
  • Pump Unit – A compact high-pressure pump pressurizes the water mist system when a fire is confirmed.
  • Flexible Hydraulic Hose – Delivers water mist from the pump to the spray heads, offering easy installation without the need for rigid piping.

Each of these components is carefully integrated to offer fast, accurate, and efficient fire suppression while minimizing water damage compared to traditional sprinklers.
