How Do I Become an Automist Installer?

Becoming an authorized Automist installer is a straightforward process that enables fire protection professionals to offer an innovative, UL-listed fire suppression system to their customers.

Please note: In many jurisdictions, contractors must hold a C16 Fire Protection License or an equivalent qualification to install fire suppression systems in compliance with local building codes.

Training is available online via Plumis’ Learning Management System (LMS) at https://usa-plumis.talentlms.com, where you can follow our step-by-step guide on How to Become an Automist Installer (pdf).

Part 1: Online Training

The online training can be completed in as little as a day. 
 

 

Part 2: Hands-On Training

This practical assessment can be conducted in one of three ways:

  1. A half-day session at one of our training locations 
    OR, after purchasing a starter kit and installing it at your facility:
  2. A Plumis rep visit and hands-on assessment at your location
  3. A virtual assessment of your location

 

 


Upon passing the assessment, you’ll receive a Technical Certificate, valid for two years. This certificate can be submitted to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) as proof of your competency and authorization to install Automist systems.
