Will every Automist nozzle spray water during a fire?

No, Automist only activates one nozzle at a time. If multiple spray heads detect a fire, they compete to determine which has the best view of the fire, and the selected nozzle locks onto the fire while the others turn inward and shut off. This prevents unnecessary water discharge, minimizing water damage. Unlike traditional sprinklers that rely on mechanical glass bulbs, their systems are typically designed to allow two nozzles to activate simultaneously. Automist is electronically controlled, ensuring that only one nozzle operates at a time. This precise activation is what allows the system to function effectively with just 2.4 gallons per minute (GPM), significantly reducing water demand while maintaining effective fire suppression.
